New look for Michell Instruments
Michell Instruments has brought its image right
up to date with a brand new website and a new range of product brochures.
The new website went live in June, and features an interactive product
search and lots of informative free downloads, for example a humidity
calculator, which are invaluable to people for whom the measurement of
moisture in air and gases is an important control mechanism.
To support the new website, Michell has also produced four new glossy
brochures describing and comparing its products and also their applications
and technologies, and listing a just few of its customers for reference.
The brochures are split into four product groups:
- Impedance Hygrometers
This brochure describes Michell's ceramic tile sensor-driven instruments.
The ceramic tile was the original invention of Andrew Michell that started
the company nearly 30 years ago, and still forms the core of Michell's
business.
The Impedance range includes the simply, low cost Easidew range and
the more sophisticated Premium Impedance range. Impedance hygrometers
are especially useful where a speedy, consistent measurement is required,
for example in a compressed air dryer.
- Cooled Mirror Hygrometers
Michell Instruments is proud to be able to boast that we produce internationally
acclaimed fundamental reference dew-point hygrometers for calibration
laboratories worldwide. The S4000 range of reference hygrometers is
used by the National Physical Laboratory in the UK, y, z. among many
others. Building on our expertise with cooled mirror technology, Michell
has recently developed the Optidew high performance optical dew-point
transmitter, which is robust enough to withstand harsh industrial conditions
while retaining the accuracy of the S4000 range.
- Calibration products and service
Michell Instruments' state of the art calibration laboratory in Cambridge
was the first in the UK to be awarded UKAS accreditation. Michell Instruments
produce a range of calibration equipment including humidity generators,
pressure swing dryers and full, custom made calibration systems. Michell's
calibration laboratory is also well equipped to perform calibration
of most brands of dew-point sensors and instruments, and we welcome
customers who wish to calibrate other manufacturers' equipment in our
internationally traceable, UK laboratory.
- Natural Gas and Petrochemicals
The natural gas industry is highly specialized, and Michell has developed
a range of instruments to meet all the moisture and hydrocarbon dew
point measurement requirements of this industry. Michell's range of
natural gas products includes intrinsically safe instruments for measuring
gas moisture on-line and in the filed via a portable hygrometer, plus
hydrocarbon and moisture analysers that offer critical quality measurement
at fiscal metering points.
