Michell Adds Marketing Manager to its Expanding Workforce

Michell Instruments, the UK's leading manufacturer of hygrometry and process instrumentation, has announced the appointment of a new marketing manager. Liz Wilson joined Michell Instruments in August and will be responsible for developing business opportunities in new and existing markets.

With four years of senior management experience, Ms Wilson brings an innovative marketing approach to the process sector. Also possessing a practical industrial approach, her skills will be fully utilised at Michell Instruments which has experienced unprecedented levels of demand for its impedance hygrometers and chilled mirror dewpointmeters.

Following the 2,000ft expansion of Michell Instruments's manufacturing facility in Cambridge, the announcement of the new managerial position reflects the company's policy of growth and expansion. Referring to the extended facility, Mike Bannister, Managing Director of Michell Instruments, said: "We expect to be able to accommodate a doubling of production in the next three years."

Ms Wilson was previously employed by Scottish and Newcastle Plc where she was involved in product sales and then pub marketing. Enjoying promotion throughout her career, Ms Wilson thrives on business challenges where she can employ her fresh outlook on industrial marketing while ensuring a customer-centric approach. These skills will be fully utilised in her new role as marketing manager at Michell Instruments.

Mr Bannister described the impact of Ms Wilson's arrival as "immense". Later, he added: "Liz has a mixture of experience and passion coupled with innovative ideas that would benefit any company. But what really attracted us to Liz was her senior management experience. This is a high-profile role which demands professional maturity - Liz fitted the bill perfectly."
